The Guardians House
Remains of the
 bread oven
The guardians house, prior residence of the estates manservant, responsible for amongst many things, baking bread in the huge (derilect) bread oven at the rear of the building, washing in the huge carved stone tub and drawing water from the well in front of the building.
The well,app 9 metres deep
to water surafce
In need of complete restoration the guardians house would make a lovely two up, possibly two down  residence if the bread oven was completely demolished and a kitchen put within its walls. In building terms if the bread oven was not used it's an easy project,a new ground floor, some floor boards and a staircase for upstairs, stud walling, doors and windows, and a bathroom and kitchenette.
A new fosse septique would be necessary as there are no drains to the building
Stone tub
Interior dimensions of 6.1m by 5.4m
The front of the building has an old and productive grapevine, and to the rear of the property there are fig trees and an apple tree.
